Chillbox frozen yogurt now in the USA, Turkey and Russia
The company’s outward-looking policy also gets a boost in France and Sweden
Second consecutive award for foreign growth.
Chillbox began 2015 with a presence in fifteen countries, having added the particularly important markets of the USA, Turkey and Russia. In the last quarter of 2014, in a move which will expand its international popularity, the Greek frozen yogurt chain opened stores in New York, Istanbul and regional cities in Russia, while strengthening its presence in Sweden and France.
The first Chillbox store on American soil is part of a strategic agreement with Lymell Holdings LLC, which was announced in the spring of 2014.
Following Chillbox’s success in Greece and Europe, the ambition of the first Chillbox store in America is to introduce the American public to Greek frozen yogurt based on high quality ingredients and a large number of toppings, creating a nutritious dessert that’s low in fat but gets a high rating on the pleasure index.
Chillbox is synonymous with healthy pleasure and has also met with a positive response in Istanbul, where following concerted action, three Chillbox stores opened at the end of November at central locations in the city, in partnership with the Turkish company 40S Gida ve Τurizm Ιsletmeleri A.S.
Then, in mid-December, two new stores opened and welcomed fans of Greek frozen yogurt in the cities of Voronezh and Lipetsk in the Russian market, in partnership with Dream Food LLC.
In addition, through a master franchise agreement with Deli Grec S.A.S for France and following the success of the first store in Paris, a second Chillbox store opened in the city of Dijon.
Regarding the Swedish market, which was one of Chillbox’s first foreign destinations, our points of presence were increased to seven with the opening of three new stores in the suburbs of Stockholm and the region of Tanum. Growth in this market has primarily been achieved through master franchising with Health & Passion AB.
In recognition of its increasingly outward-looking stance, Chillbox received the "Best International Expansion 2015" award for the Greek company’s growth in foreign markets. Chillbox was receiving the award for the second successive year. It was presented at Franchise Business Magazine’s Franchise Awards, held on 28 January 2015 under the aegis of the Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the National Confederation of Hellenic Commerce and the Greek Franchise Association.
Chillbox’s commercial operations began with its first store in February 2012, which opened with the vision of offering the finest taste experience for lovers of Greek frozen yogurt.
The warm reception from the public was the springboard for significant steps in the company’s growth, with the result that there are now more than 75 Chillbox franchise stores operating in more than 15 countries, serving more than 5,000,000 customers a year.
